Random shots from/for the CCA camp. (They’re my dog Tink, a humming bird in a tree, flowers, a Japanese maple tree, and a close-up fern.)
Zoe Strauss is an American photographer who focuses on every day life. I like it because she doesn’t sugar coat anything- she takes photos of everything from signs to landscapes to portraits, paying attention to the “overlooked (or purposefully avoided) details of life”. She really started taking photos at age 30 and posted her photos on support pillars of freeways near her house. Now she has galleries in several museums and has gotten several grants.
